I couldn't get the address I wanted at Gmail.com, but thanks to China, I got it at Gmail.cn! The only problem a lot of people might face is that the interface is all in Chinese. Here's a handy guide to using the site for English speakers.

And you'll sign up here. The only hiccup you might run into is that you need a Chinese name for one of the fields, and it only accepts Chinese characters. Try cutting and pasting some from another site, perhaps?
